After a disasterous round of footy tipping last week, for Round Four I’m mostly going for the favorites.  The exception being Essendon, whom I’m hopefull will bounce back from their embarresing loss last week to upset thge Crows at home.  Well I very much hope so, because I’m making the trek over to Adelaide with my son to watch the game on Saturday night.

Fremantle ruined my tipping of Melbourne by just three points.

Tipping Essendon in Adelaide was always risky against the Crows,
but in the end it wasn’t even close.

The Adelaide derby (or is it “darby”?) between the Crows and Port is the hardest to tip in Round 3, but I’m going for the Crows.

I’m also excited at the prospect of Essendon getting their third win in a row, and Collingwood their third loss!

It’s my fault!  I cursed Essendon by saying they were going to get their third win in a row.  In the end, Carlton played a better wet weather game.  As for Collingwood, they almost lost against Sydney, but managed to get over the line by just 1 point.  

The biggest upset of Round 3 was Hawthorn’s loss to the Gold Coast Suns!  It just goes to show how much of an influence a fit and healthy Gary Ablett can have on a game of football.

Hopefully the second round of this year’s AFL season is just as exciting as the first.
